It is with sadness that the club has learnt of former President Prof. Robin Touquet's admission to St. Mary's hospital. All at Imperial Medicals would like to wish Prof. Touquet, whose long service to the club was recognised at this year's annual dinner, a speedy recovery and we hope to hear his calls of "come on Medicals" from the touchline next season. 1st XV Match Report: Medicals Play-Off Pain.
Congratualtions to Diss RFC whose pack was too much for the Medcials to handle on a glorious spring day in East Anglia. After a long, testing season the long trip to Diss proved a hurdle too far for a Medicals team who, due to exams and injury, were only able to field two substitutes. 1st XV Match Report: Medicals Make Play-Off.
The Medicals secured 2nd place in London 3NW (League Table) and thus their place in next week's play-offs with a hard fought victory away at Harpenden. Tries from Joe Codrington and Francois Tudor, coupled with a near faultless kicking display from Dan Neville, helped the Medicals to a 18-15 win. Congratulations to the 1st XV who got back to winning ways against St Albans on a truly dreadful day. The second XV, who were stripped of many of their regulars, went down gallantly to the Grasshoppers to finish their season in second place in the Merit League, earning a little rest before pre-tour training.

There is no fixture this Saturday for any of the three sides and therefore training for Monday and Thursday has been cancelled. Enjoy the week off. More...
1st XV Match Report: Magnanimous Medicals Victorious In The Mud.

A brace of tries from both James Sharples and James Logan helped the Medicals to a gritty away win over St. Albans. The Medicals battled through the howling wind and driving rain to record a vital 31-22 win. And with London New Zealand losing away at Datchworth the Medicals now have a 2 point advantage over Hammersmith & Fulham in the London 3NW play-off race (League Table).

Meanwhile the 2nd XV were unsuccessful in their bid for a second consecutive MMT Finals day after going down 0-23 against Grasshoppers at Teddington. More...

2nd XV Drawn At Home Against Grasshoppers In MMT Div. 2 Playoffs.
After finishing second to Rosslyn Park in MMT Div. 2 (League Table) the 2nd XV have been rewarded with a home draw against Grasshoppers 2nd XV in the play-off semi-finals to be played on Saturday 29th March. Should they be victorious over Grasshoppers the 2nd XV can look forward to their second consecutive finals day at London Wasps' Twyford Avenue Ground on Saturday 12th April 2008. More...

Tries from James Logan, Huw Williams and Craig Nightingale helped the 1st XV secure their seventh successive UH Cup final victory. Leading 21-0 the Medicals were forced to work hard by a spirited GKT side who came back strongly in the second half with tries from Matt Morgan and Lucas Rehnberg taking the final score to 21-12. 1st XV Match Report: Medicals Suffer Stevenage Slip-Up.
The top of the table clash between the Medicals and Stevenage lived up to expectations as both sides played enterprising rugby and battled well throughout a hard fought game. With ten minutes to go and the scores at 13-17 the Medicals had chances to take the lead, but ultimately Stevenage scored a break away try to secure the game 13-25. On Wednesday as the 2nd and 3rd teams basked in their glorious victories over the Infidels at Honor Oak Park for yet another year, the club was required to send a side to Sheffield University to play for the 1st XV in their BUSA Trophy match. Better late than never the Vauxhall match report is finally with us. The 1st XV beat Vauxhall Motors 18 points to 6 and with Stevenage Town demolishing London New Zealand 49-13 the Medics now have a 3 point cushion over the New Zealanders in London 3NW (League Table). The 1st XV won a hard fought Varsity match against Imperial College thanks to an extra time penalty from fly-half Dan Neville which extended the Medicals winning run to six games. Wednesday 17th October saw all three Imperial Medicals sides in action. The 1st XV, despite dominating large protions of the game, went down 5-33 against Oxford Brookes. The 2nd XV were narrowly beaten 26-21 away against Royal Holloway 1st XV, whilst the 3rd XV beat Essex University 2nd XV 29-20 at Teddington. More...

1st XV Match Report: Medicals Add to All Blacks' Misery.

On a day when the underdog was victorious on more than one occasion the 1st XV made the short trip to Gunnersbury Park to play London New Zealand, a team who had beaten them twice last season. A pulsating game, which produced plenty of action and tries, saw the Medicals run out 26-17 winners with fresher Craig Nightingale stealing the show by scoring a brace of outstanding tries on debut.

South Africa Tour 2008

On the 6th of July 2008, Imperial Medicals RFC will embark upon South African airways flight 346 to Cape Town for the beginning of their Summer tour. Tour will consist of 7 matches – 4 first team and 3 second team, all of which will be followed by post-match functions and the customary socialising. Sides we will be playing include the Stellenbosch Medics, Nelson Mandella University, Kruger Park Rangers and the Swaziland National Team. Following the Swaziland match we will be having a reception with the High Commissioner of Swaziland.

There will be a Tour presentation on Saturday 13th October at 6pm in the Glenister Lecture Theatre at Charing Cross.

1st XV Match Report: Medicals Edged Out by Erosive Enfield.

Imperial Medicals 1st XV played host to an Enfield Ignatians side riding high in London 3NW. Looking to build on last week's fine victory against Vauxhall Motors, 1st XV skipper Austin Dekker selected an experienced side for what turned out to be a bruising encounter. With the scores at 13 a piece and only minutes remaining the Medicals defence could not withstand one last assault as Enfield broke through leaving the final score at 13-20 in the visitor's favour.

1st XV Match Report: Motors Mauled by Magnificent Medicals.

Hungry for their first victory of the season the 1st XV took on a Vauxhall Motors team who were themselves looking to trouble the scorers for the first time this year. A fine display by the pack coupled with incisive running by the Medicals back line resulted in a comfortable 37-0 victory which moved Imperial Medicals up to 7th in London 3NW.

1st XV Match Report: Medicals Wither in the Heat as Stevenage Blaze to Victory.

Imperial Medicals made their first, and longest, away trip of the season to take on Stevenage Town RFC on a scorching late summer day in Hertfordshire. The home side, who had narrowly missed out on promotion last season, were in scintillating form as they ran in numerous tries in a 66-5 rout.

1st XV Match Report: Medicals Subdued by Steadfast St Albans.

Imperial Medicals kicked off the 2007-08 season with a thrilling match at home to St. Albans RFC. The Medicals, having seemingly established a decisive advantage, were denied victory by a last minute converted St. Albans try which brought the final score to 34-34.
